Caring for your clothes
Simple everyday gestures to help your pieces keep their drape, color and softness season after season.
First: read the care label
Every fabric has its preferences. The label indicates the ideal temperature, drying method and ironing instructions. When in doubt, always choose the gentlest option.
Washing
Wash at 30 degrees when possible, turn pieces inside out, sort colors and place delicate fabrics in a laundry bag. For knitwear, use cold water and never twist the garment.
Drying
Air drying is always best. Avoid tumble drying knitwear and linen, lay sweaters flat and hang dresses and skirts in the shade.
Ironing
Iron inside out at the right temperature. A steamer is ideal for long dresses and skirts without marking the fabric.
Storage
Fold knitwear and denim, hang dresses, skirts and blouses on wide hangers, and store pieces only when fully dry.
